Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expecting fraternal twin girls. At a party in Cannes for Kung Fu Panda (to which Jolie lends her voice) last week, Jolie revealed the results of recent sonogram tests. But Jolie, who already has 4 kids, said, “Oh, my God. We haven’t even hired a baby nurse yet!” Pitt then chimed in: “We’re doing it in reverse: have two adults and six kids.” Read more.

Don’t tick off Chris Matthews. On yesterday’s MSNBC show Hardball, Matthews humiliated clueless right-wing radio host Kevin James over the “appeasement” brouhaha President Bush launched against Barack Obama during Israel’s 60th anniversary celebration. When the segment begins, James affirms Bush’s oblique comparison of Obama to a Nazi appeaser. Matthews then quizzes James on appeasement by Neville Chamberlain, prime minister of Britain in the 1930s, and that’s when the fireworks start. See the video here.

Singer Jessica Simpson’s split from Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was due to several factors, including meddling from her manager- dad, Joe Simpson. Joe navigated Jessica’s every move, but he really crossed the line when he started offering “unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica,” says Romo’s college pal. With only 2 weeks left before it hits U.S. movie theaters, Sex and the City movie is starting to face a media backlash. Some are annoyed by the around-the-clock media blitz to promote the film. But it’s not just the film’s exhausting promotion efforts that’s getting under people’s skins. Many New Yorkers were annoyed that NYC was passed over for the world premiere in favor of London, where the film opened Monday night. In addition, many are questioning the relevance of the film’s softball story lines and frivolous characters during a time marked by record oil prices, geopolitical conflict and worldwide economic slowdowns. Singer Rihanna, 19, will make pop music chart history Thursday when she becomes the female artist with the biggest jump to No. 1. Her track Take a Bow is expected to skyrocket to the top of the singles chart from its previous standing at No. 53, thanks to a stunning 267,000 digital download sales. The song’s jump is the second-best leap to the top, trailing Rihanna’s duet partners Maroon 5, who scored a No. 1 single with their runaway hit, Makes Me Wonder, a year ago after a 63-position leapfrog from No. 64. Former Sen. John Edwards brought down the house when he endorsed Democratic Senator Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy Wednesday evening in Michigan. Edwards appeared beside Obama when he endorsed him at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., Wednesday evening. He started off the evening by joking he showed up to the rally because he “was promised a pair of jet skis.” Amid cheers, applause and chants of ‘O-ba-ma! O-ba-ma! O-ba-ma! Gorgeous Angelina Jolie says she loves being pregnant. “You feel like more like a woman than you’ve ever felt,” she said. Jolie, 32, is at the Cannes Film Festival promoting two movies. In an interview with Today Show co-host Natalie Morales (who’s also preggers), Angie confirmed she’s expecting twins. “Unlike most women, I love being pregnant.
