Women who have a history of mistreatment in relationships tend to place themselves back into relationships with men that foster further abuse. Often, after the damage, women appear to be mystified as to why they set themselves up. They are easily lulled back into situations that potentially blindside them to personal attacks and betrayal. Renowned author and therapist discusses why they fall into these traps and how to break the cycle of violence here.

Don’t tick off Chris Matthews. On yesterday’s MSNBC show Hardball, Matthews humiliated clueless right-wing radio host Kevin James over the “appeasement” brouhaha President Bush launched against Barack Obama during Israel’s 60th anniversary celebration. When the segment begins, James affirms Bush’s oblique comparison of Obama to a Nazi appeaser. Matthews then quizzes James on appeasement by Neville Chamberlain, prime minister of Britain in the 1930s, and that’s when the fireworks start. See the video here.
